Onlim is a leading platform provider for the automation of customer communication in the German-speaking area with strong global expansion dynamics. With our Knowledge Graph-based conversational AI platform, we make data, content and knowledge of our customers available in natural language and accessible via various channels such as chatbots, telephone bots, Alexa, Google Assistant or API. The Onlim platform is available as a low-code SaaS solution, is highly scalable and can be flexibly expanded via a simple connection to customer systems.

We are looking for a software developer to support our team which develops new applications and maintains data management and conversational A.I. components. Your role includes the development, design and implementation of new or modified software components and processing pipelines.

What you’ll do:

  • Design and develop new features and innovative applications
  • Maintaining, evaluating and upgrading existing systems
  • Increase the quality, stability and scalability of existing components

What you’ll need:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in programming and designing flexible and high-performant data systems
  • Strong experience with Java, Spring Framework and Spring Boot
  • Proficient with DevOps, modern build strategies, continuous integration, unit testing and automated integration tests and code version control systems
  • Experience in writing technical documentation
  • Proficient in performing technical code reviews
  • The ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple conflicting priorities simultaneously

  • Language Skills:

    • English: fluent
    • German: advantageous
  • Degree in Computer Science or related fields
  • Experience with Knowledge Graph technologies, including W3C standards (RDF, SPARQL, SHACL), Graph databases, Ontologies and query interfaces

  • Experience with other database systems (relational, document stores) & search engine frameworks (e.g. ElasticSearch, Lucene)

  • Experience with database internals, transactions, query processing and optimization is a huge plus

  • Experience with Apache Kafka
